Distribution
Lists allow you to create an email list that will monitor a POP3 email
box and resend any email sent to that address to all the personnel in
that list. Think of a distribution list as an email group, or mailing
list.
To
create a Distribution List log into Resgrid and in the Department Menu
select the Distribution Lists menu option. From there click the "Add a
New List". In the first part of the form provide the name of your list,
choose something descriptive like "All Personnel" or "Officers" and then
supply your POP3 email providers information. After that select the
personnel you would like to receive a copy of the email that is sent to
that email address.
This
email address should be dedicated to Resgrid only as it will clear out
any messages after it has forwarded it on to the personnel in the list.
