How to Recieve Notificaitons

How to Recieve Notificaitons

Resgrid does not send out notifications (email, push, SMS, etc) to users by default. Users will need to be added to the department by a Department Administrator or a Group Administrator. This prevents the system to sending out messages to users that have not elected or opted-in to receive that communication. Once the user account has been created in the Department user can log in via the web application and navigate to their Profile.

On the Profile Page the user will need to supply the phone number they want to receive SMS to; if they want to, SMS is optional.

Users can also supply a Home Phone number to receive outbound voice dispatches for calls. On this page users also have the email address that they will be receiving elected email notifications too as well.

Next on the right hand side users need to enable the types of Notifications they want to receive and via what communication means.

Types:
  1. Call, these are new Calls added to the system that the user is dispatched on either via an ALL CALL, directly, via a group, role or a unit. Important updates about calls are also sent out via this communication type.
  2. Telephone (Voice), are Call alerts where the system will dial the phone number and Text-To-Speech the call information. Telephone Alerting is only available for calls.
  3. Message, these are user generated messages where the user is a recipient.
  4. Notification, these are automated system messages, for example shift notifications, staffing updates, etc.

Text Messaging (SMS) is only available for Call and Message types.

Once your settings are finalized press the Save button at the bottom to commit the changes.
